Dr. Al Claiborne joined AMCG in 2014. He is a 2005 graduate from Greeneville High School. In 2009, he graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration with a degree in logistics & transportation. During his senior year of college, he found his career calling to be a veterinarian. During his veterinary education, he focused on small animal medicine and surgery. He graduated in 2014 from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. While a student, he earned awards including the Merck Veterinary Student Award, Simmons Foundation Practice Management Award, Pain Management Award, and Rising Alumnus Award. His career interests include, but are not limited to, wellness care, preventive and restorative dentistry, and orthopedic surgery.
He is married to his wife, Sara. They have two children and one dog. He spends his free time enjoying a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and biking.
