Dr. Don E. (Ed) Claiborne was raised near LaFollette, in Campbell County, Tennessee. He graduated from The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1980. While at UT Knoxville, he met Cleva Brock, and they were married in September of 1976. Dr. Claiborne and Cleva moved to Greeneville in 1980, just after graduation, and have made Greeneville their home since then. Dr. Claiborne and Cleva have two children, Al and Heather. Al is an associate veterinarian at AMCG and Heather is a high school science teacher in Bellevue, OH. Dr. Claiborne and Cleva have one dog and four cats at home. Dr. Claiborne enjoys Amateur Radio as a hobby.
