Dr. Kagney Hutson

Dr. Kagney Hutson is originally from a small, rural town in Illinois called Dallas City. She grew up caring deeply for animals and decided early on that she wanted to become a veterinarian. In 2017, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from Western Illinois University. In 2022, she graduated with her DVM degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. During her schooling, she focused on small animal medicine and surgery. Outside of wellness and preventative care, she has special interests in soft tissue surgery, pain management, and general oncology.

Dr. Kagney is married and has one senior dog named Max. She and her husband fell in love with eastern Tennessee after just a couple of visits. So, it was an easy decision to relocate here after graduating from veterinary school.

In her free time, Dr. Kagney enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking. She also enjoys going to antique shops and flea markets, as well as indulging her creative side with art and embroidery.
