Michelle joined our AMCG team in May 2009 after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She was born and raised in Greene County. Michelle stated even as a little girl; she has always loved animals. Her dream occupation was to one day work with animals in one way or another. Prior to graduating from Greeneville High School in 2005, she volunteered at a local vet office, and while in college she worked part-time at a veterinary hospital in Knoxville. Michelle says, “My passion for animal welfare is strong and I feel truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful profession.”
In the fall of 2009, Michelle married the love of her life, Aaron Austin, who is also a huge animal lover. In April 2015, they became proud parents of their handsome little man, Waylon. He is definitely the light of their lives. Waylon is also an animal lover. He helps out on the farm. Together they have several small animal companions as well as livestock. They have 6 dogs (Coko, Chumlee, Ellie, Lady, Shelby, and Boaz), 3 cats (Gus, Strudel, and Miss Kitty), a bunny (Cadbury), 2 goats (Chubs and Bandit), and 34 cows and calves. Their pets keep them busy but they love it. Animals help complete their family and they couldn’t imagine life without them!
